I’m Going to Stop Trying to Date
It was recently revealed to me that I’m a piece of shit
I was just blocked by a girl I had a lot of respect for.
I poured my heart out to her while drunk. Then made a post on another social media platform with some contradicting remarks to what I told her. She called me out for it.
A few days later, she was gone. Every social media she had me on, blocked.
I totally deserved it. I even considered pulling the plug on myself before she did.
She was an old flame. I met her while in a hospital bed. She was a nurse and I flirted with her the entire time.
She liked it. I took her out on a date. Then she took a job in another state. I hadn’t seen her since, but I always held out hope we’d meet again someday.
With each year that passed, my hopes waned. But to me, it was always worth holding onto.
Then I made a crucial mistake. And now I’ll never talk to her again.
I’ve never had much luck dating. I’ve had one girlfriend in my life. She said she loved me after six weeks and I didn’t say it back. A few weeks later, we were done.
