I’ve always preferred the hardback book over the digital book.

I understand the benefit of being able to stash a million books inside of a handheld device to be read at anytime. But a physical book is a true piece of art, and it should be treated as such.

As someone that has written three books, it always feels so good to hold in your hand. It would take a fire or flood to destroy it. A digital book could simply be deleted and gone forever.

But, as someone that battles phones addiction, I have recently found two huge advantages of reading on an app instead of off of real pages.

Easy access wherever

I’ve already touched on this, but it is by far the biggest benefit — and one of the main reasons people might prefer something like a Kindle.

When I’m sitting and waiting for a haircut, the productive person in me would much rather read a book on my Kindle app rather than scroll through Twitter.

Twitter is a hellscape. There is some productive conversation on there, but it’s mostly a bunch of BS. I’m getting almost no benefit spending time there. And yet, I…
