Entering a Contest? The Odds Are in Your Favor

As long as you don’t let the losses get to you

Last weekend, I won a decent chunk of change playing fantasy football.

It was the first time I won anything significant. There was an insane amount of luck that came into play. But nonetheless, the money hit my account that same night.

I won a contest!

It was pretty invigorating. I paid $5 to be in the contest. I spent no more than a few minutes making my lineup.

People are afraid to enter contests. “There’s so many people, I’ll never win!”

But somebody has to win. Why can’t it be you?

The math isn’t in your favor — but nothing is impossible

There are so many different types of contests you can enter.

You can pay to enter a writing contest and hope your writing is better than everybody else’s.

You can play the lottery and hope your lucky numbers finally hit.

You can enter a sweepstakes and hope your email or phone number somehow gets picked out of the hat.

Some of these contests are easier than others. Some require actual work and talent while some are pure luck.
